Quest dialogue (spoilers)
Offer
The Archive's records say a Saerim scholar fled the Sundering to Morrowdun with a codex: the Sightline Codex, the Saerim's own commentary on the waystones. Morrowdun woke under its Lich in the thirtieth year of the Dusk, and the codex was never seen again. If it survives, the Lich has it, in the deepest vault of the necropolis. I propose we take it from him and lay it on my master's desk. I do not ask to be restored to the Rolls. I ask only to have one entry on my account that is not a debt.
While in progress
Morrowdun, in the Haunted Lands. The Lich keeps his treasures in the vault beyond his throne. Mind the bone-spears; they are not decorative. Well, they are a little decorative.
On completion
*Theodric opens the codex, reads a page, and sits down rather suddenly.* ...The Sightline Codex. In Saervan's own hand, before. *He looks up at Iskander for a long time.* You forged my seal. You sold my surveys. You brought me this. *He takes a pen and, in the Rolls, writes a name back in.* Reader Iskander. Do not make me regret it. *Iskander, very quietly:* I shall make you regret it constantly, master. But never this.
